Is it so hard to believe? In True Lies Arnold Schwarzenegger was a kick-butt super spy who flew all over the world hunting down the Crimson Jihad terrorist organization, and his wife, Jamie Lee Curtis had no idea. We already have roving wire taps, GPS tracking devises and surveillance drones keeping a close eye on suspected terrorists in the Homeland. Is it really such a leap to think they might embed an undercover agent in your social network? And is it so difficult to believe that agent might sleep around to get close to people of interest? I say no. And I’m prepared to take you down a rabbit hole that will have you casting a suspicious glance at your significant other.

I cannot remember a time my heart has pounded so hard during a movie. I don’t know, maybe it’s because I’m partial to Dianic huntress characters, but when it comes to provoking a purely visceral autonomic response The Hunger Games is probably one of the best films I’ve seen. Understand that I walked into the film almost completely unaware of the story. I saw someone reading the book on a recent flight and was intrigued by the cover. Then I heard a pretty strong endorsement of the film on Free Talk Live last Tuesday. But I knew almost nothing about the film when I saw it, and even less about the book. I hadn’t even seen a trailer. If you just want a reading of general enthusiasm I think this film is well worth seeing in the theater, and I left eager for the sequel, but if you’re comfortable reading some spoilers, read on.

A great friend of ours, and THE Silver Guru, David Morgan, once again shows up on the financial airwaves speaking the truth about our currency system and the future of silver. Max Keiser has always been an advocate for taking down the silver manipulators of the world, so these forces combined create quite the silver powerhouse on one program! Watch the show here:

When Ron Paul brandished a Silver Circle “Rebel Round” in Ben Bernanke’s face during a House Financial Services Committee hearing it was an unprecedented marketing win for us.
We produce the Rebel Rounds both as a replica of the coins minted by the Rebels in the Silver Circle movie and as an investment or barter currency for those real world Rebels who understand the economics of fiat paper. But we could never have predicted the boom in sales that immediately followed Ron Paul’s indirect endorsement.

Whenever I feel despair over the slow progress of our cause I think of the Pope who refused to look through Galileo’s telescope to see the moons of Jupiter because he stubbornly insisted that they did not exist. Today, every man, woman and child is a Pope and those advocating a society with the non aggression principle at the center are like Galileo proposing the heliocentric universe to a population whose entire worldview is shattered by it. Like the Pope they can be hostile, or offended, or afraid, but they can only deny reality so long as they can avoid seeing the facts. This is why I say that the future belongs to liberty, because the slow and steady progress of humanity always tends toward an alignment between the common paradigm and the empirical evidence. The Popes of the world, who benefit either materially or psychologically from the delusions of the people, can hinder this progress but they cannot contain it.
One of the things that validates this view for me is when I see these fringe ideas take center stage on mainstream platforms. For example, this week at the Huffington Post columnist Tom Mullen published a piece titled, “How the Fed Steals for the 1%.”

Here at the Silver Underground it seems we have a surplus of Guy Fawkes masks. Five masks to be exact. So, every week for the next five weeks we’re going to hold a different contest and give out the masks as prizes. If you want to protest in style stay tuned because there’s going to be plenty of opportunity to win the mask that has become the favorite of Tea Party, Occupy and Anonymous alike. For starters we’re going to extend the Make Me A Rebel offer and open it up. Send us your Rebel stories and you’ll still get your own custom Rebel Avatar, but now we’ll also be giving a mask to the best story at the end of five weeks. So every submission gets a custom avatar, but only the best one wins a mask. And, who knows, if you tell a good enough story maybe you’ll be awarded the Rebel of the Week. So, tell us what makes you a Rebel.
Here are the details for the V Contest this week.

Sure we are excited and still flying high on the supreme product placement of our Rebel Silver in Congressman Ron Paul’s hand. All of that aside, this moment is being hailed as truly symbolic during this economic crisis. Ron Paul not only highlights that money is stated in the Constitution as gold and silver, he brings up the free-marketeer’s dream, and any free person’s dream for that matter, a economic system based on choice. Currency doesn’t have to be dubbed appropriate by the government in order for it to work. Parallel currencies should exist. It’s the right of the people to conduct voluntary exchanges as they wish.
David Morgan, the renowned “Silver Guru”, as created a video that highlights just that, with the focus on silver’s recent movement and why. Please share this with precious metal enthusiasts to keep their spirits high. Physical silver is outperforming its paper/digital counterpart. Check out the video:

Yesterday I accidentally threw myself into a depression with the Tinfoil Tuesday coverage about how fast the tyrannical laws were rolling out. But as they say, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Today it seems I have the opposite problem. There are just too many Rebel stories to pick just one. So, this week instead of focusing on a single Rebel we’re going to have to do a quick round-up of all the Rebels who have hit the headlines that we haven’t had time to cover.

There was a time in my life when I used to love wild conspiracy theories about the growth of a totalitarian police state. I used to claim, with tongue in cheek, that Arnold Schwarzenegger was chosen as the gubernatorial candidate of California because his appearance as a reprogrammed benevolent cyborg in Terminator 3, just weeks before his campaign, would soften the public’s objections to voting machines. Or, that Starbucks Coffee, with its numerous references to sirens and lotus eaters of Greek Mythology must surely contain some neurological toxin designed to pacify the masses for the Illuminati. But now it’s hard to imagine anything the State wouldn’t do to trample the few remaining liberties that are left uninfringed. At best the US Constitution appears to have taught the tyrants to be more creative in their subterfuge. Ten years ago 9/11 provided the pretense for the Patriot Act, which was openly criticized and widely protested for years. Obama was even elected in part because of his campaign promise to repeal it. Yet by today’s standards the Patriot Act seems quaint. These days the tyrannical laws roll out so fast I hardly have time to write a blog post on one before the next one. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if a new tyrannical law hits the headlines before I even finish this post. So, this Tinfoil Tuesday, rather than focusing on a single paranoid fantasy about one news story we’re going to have to do a quick round-up of all the growth in tyranny we simply haven’t had time to cover.
