News from the Fed
July 16th, 2010
The Federal Reserve Bank of San Diego president, Janet Yellen, is seeking the position of Vice-President to Mr. Bernanke.
Yellen’s voting record seems to be all “Ayes”. She clearly is on the Federal Reserve’s side with that kind of track record. Bureaucracy will eat this up, while the rest of us (how dare I speak for you!)…as Jim Grant puts it:
“…think Yellen is a well credentialed, consensus-hugging
economist straight out of the Fed HR department.
She is ideal from the point of view of the Fed bureaucracy.
She will make not one ripple.”
