Movie Mondays

You have to have that graphic novel as your base,” visual effects supervisor Frazer Churchill told MTV News about the new Scott Pilgrim vs. The World movie that was just released.

Much like V for Vendetta the original form of a piece of work is the most sacred part of its existence.  In order to stay on the good side of your original fans (who take pride in being the first to discover a certain piece of work…look at Eminem fans who have “been listening since Infinite“) you must take into account the artists original intent.

To learn more about the comparisons of the comic vs. the movie with Scott Pilgrim, check out this article. It’s still in a good spot finishing #5 in the week in the box office.

As you know Silver Circle will be releasing a graphic novel slightly before the film’s release.  We will be releasing it page by page to all of our followers online and some will have an extra sneak peek for helping out on our Kickstarter project.  If you join our mailing list (you’ll see the entry form right here on the blog) you will be kept up to date with the release times.  At the point of release for the film we hope you can all compare and give us the thumbs up or down on execution and approve that artistic promises were kept.
