Movie Mondays: “The Social Network”

Seeing that this particular website hosted much of the “Ron Paul Revolution” as well as the most recent Ron Paul “Sign Waving” plan I believe today’s Movie Monday subject matter will be a way to pay homage owed. “The Social Network” raked in $23 Million on its opening weekend and some are even saying it will be the movie of 2010.

I have yet to see the film, however you can bet this will be one I will not miss.  News is pouring through the web about the portrayal of the creator of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg. As with any film that is based on a true story, some people are always a little unhappy with how they are presented.  In Zuckerberg’s case he is made out to be the crook of the Facebook phenomenon.  I have yet to see a direct statement appear from Zuckerberg, but it’s apparent many are rooting him on to sue the directors.  Some even provide their best advice to help him win.

While the film has caused controversy with its storyline and possible First Amendment right infringements we can say that this is a story to tell.  This is something all of us lived through, we are apart of it.  Just take one second to think about where the world would be without Facebook?

I can honestly say Silver Circle’s fan base would’ve been more difficult to expand and on a more fundamental note, liberty may not have spread as far as
