Our Thoughts Go Out to the Family of James Welborn, Owner of Hub Comics in Somerville

I remember visiting Hub Comic early last year. This neighborhood shop was everything a comic enthusiast would want and more. With a cozy atmosphere and comics coming out of their ears the loyalty of their customers is totally understandable.

Here at Silver Circle, a place where we create comics and appreciate the comic community, we would like to honor this local business owner for providing a great place for local comic book fans to enjoy the culture and consume this art form.

May James Welborn’s spirit live on forever. I hope that more store owners mimic his passion for community and fun in the comics culture. The memorial service has not yet been scheduled, but should be announced soon. Artist Maris Wicks stated, “He was a nice guy, a good friend and he’s going to be super missed.“
