August 11th, 2011How do you deal with illegal parking if you’re a city’s mayor? You could try getting police to issue harsher tickets or increase towing, but in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius, a mayor decided to take a more…interesting approach.
His plan: drive a tank through the city streets to deter those who wish to park illegally on his streets.
Here at Silver Circle, we don’t usually promote big government behavior, or any high-handed actions by law enforcement against civilians. However, given the weird approach to a rather annoying problem, we’re giving props where props are due. Hey, if you’re going to be the mayor of a city, why not have a little fun?
