After Her Husband’s Death, B of A Called 48 Times in One Day

September 9th, 2011

Deborah Crabtree of Hawaii was amidst the grieving process when she received 48 calls from Bank of America in regards to the missed mortgage payment on her and her late husband’s house. She had stated after the first few calls that the payment would be made once her husband’s life insurance was paid out…yet the calls didn’t stop. The bank even asked for evidence of his death, while even one representative from the bank asked to speak directly with her husband. She had to reply that he was dead.

She is now suing the bank for the repeated harassment via telephone, although the bank claims the automated calls are out of their control. HA! I highly doubt, unless of course the robots are now smarter than humans and are taking over, there isn’t a way to adjust the automated calls to Mrs. Crabtree. Let’s not forget that all of the 48 phone calls were on the day of her husband’s wake. My goodness Bank of America’s new nickname should be the Tin Man.
