Happy Birthday Ben Bernanke!
December 13th, 2011
Well Ben, you’re another year older. 58. Wow! We here at the Silver Underground are so pleased with your health and longevity that we wanted to do something special on your birthday. So we baked you a cake. Just one problem. It seems we didn’t make enough cake for everyone. But we figured it out, thanks to everything you’ve taught us. Over here we like our cake with intrinsic value, so we went ahead and ate that cake ourselves, and boy was it delicious! But we know you like your commodities in the form of debt based reserve notes. So we made you a fiat birthday cake!
Here’s what we did.
First we lent each other an imaginary birthday cake. We never actually baked it, but I’m sure our children, or maybe our grandchildren will someday. Then to enumerate that debt we printed official fiat birthday cake certificates (not redeemable for cake) and gave them to each other. Then, since we didn’t want to pay for postage, we digitized the certificates so we could send you yours over the Internet! Now you can download it, and copy it and send it to as many of your bankster friends as you like. Don’t worry. It will always be worth just as much as a slice of birthday cake. I promise. But you know that… look who I’m talking to.
So Enjoy! I’m sure it’s just as good as the real thing.—
