Jordan Page Launches Crowdfunding Campaign for Tour, New Album

It’s no secret that web technology has empowered independent viewpoints in unprecedented ways in recent years. While the biggest musicians funded by the corporate media industrial complex struggle to recoup their massive advances as a consequence of the death of the compact disc, independent artists are getting their names out there on shoestring budgets, sometimes financed by their own fans.

Liberty minstrel Jordan Page is tapping into grassroots funding for his next album and tour. To help cover recording, travel, and promotional costs, he has launched an Indiegogo campaign. Libertarian financiers who are in the market for a way to spread freedom through music might want to consider joining Jordan Page fans in funding this independent musical effort. Check out the promotional video for the campaign below, as well as additional commentary and a song by Jordan Page after the jump.

Jordan Page Continues the Battle for Liberty with “Arm Yourself”

The above tune is set to be the first single from Jordan Page’s forthcoming album. It’s a song about a dystopian future scenario in which citizens must arm themselves to defend against an overbearing, militaristic government. Given the plot of the Silver Circle Movie, one might imagine Zoe and the rebels jamming tunes like this while they carry out their rebellious tasks.

Jordan Page has been a relentless warrior for freedom for many years now. He has traveled the country countless times, singing and playing at any liberty-oriented event he could reach. He’s even performed at functions featuring libertarian icon Ron Paul. Those who support his campaign can rest easy knowing that their fiat dollars will be supporting both independent music and the message of liberty.

Jordan Page Announces Tour of Military Bases, Partnership with Oathkeepers

Oathkeepers is an organization representing retired and active duty military members and law enforcement personnel who take their oath to the Constitution seriously enough to disobey orders that violate the Bill of Rights. This wonderful organization is partnering with Jordan Page to bring entertainment to the troops.

In support of the new album, Jordan Page will tour bases across America, beginning with Fort Hood in Texas. The partnership with Oathkeepers enables him to spread the message of freedom to the troops themselves, who might want to join the organization. By funding his album and tour, patrons will therefor also be supporting those who serve in the military with the gift of live music.

The internet empowers independent culture. It brought on what history will recall as a renaissance in libertarian thought. Furthermore, through tools like crowdfunding, it allows grassroots movements to go around the mainstream media. If MTV won’t cover Jordan Page (or music at all anymore, for that matter), liberty activists can bring the message and music to wider audiences using microfinance and social media.

Music is a great way to spread ideas. Jordan Page has 17 liberty-friendly tunes written for his next album and needs help with funding from grassroots activists. If you’re a fan of great music with an important message, consider contributing to his campaign.
