‘Silver Circle’ Director Pasha Roberts Interviewed by Bloomberg Businessweek

March 8th, 2013

Silver Circle is set to premiere at a week-long event in New York City from March 22nd through March 28th at Cinema Village East. As time draws nearer, the buzz grows louder. Soon, fans in the Big Apple will be transported via animation to 2019 to join Zoe and the rebels as they battle back against an inflationary nightmare created by an out-of-control Federal Reserve. Action, adventure, and romance lie in wait.

Bloomberg Businessweek writer Vanessa Wong interviewed Silver Circle director Pasha Roberts for the Entertainment page in the Lifestyle section. In the interview, they discussed subjects like the upcoming premiere, monetary policy, and the making of the film. Check out the above-linked interview and let’s discuss after the jump.

Challenging the Federal Reserve Through Entertainment

Silver Circle aims to thrill. Audiences at screening events have been seen clinging to their seats, empathizing with the plights of characters like heroine Zoe Taylor and the conflicted federal agent Jay Nelson. However, there is a message behind the action and explosions. The film takes place in the near-future, after the Federal Reserve’s policies have caused serious inflation.

In the interview, Vanessa Wong asked, “An action film about monetary policy? Really?” Her question itself says a lot about how the times have changed. The truth is that there is a huge market out there for content that touches on real issues. The internet has awakened millions of people to the seriousness of monetary policy. Said Pasha Roberts in reply, “It sounds unlikely, but the Federal Reserve is the ultimate James Bond bad guy. They are this secret society that controls the world’s currency for the last 100 years almost undetected.”

Excitement Builds As the NYC Premiere Event Draws Nearer

Since production began on Silver Circle, the Federal Reserve has also been working hard to bring the events from the movie to life, albeit in a different way. The Fed’s quantitative easing programs have suffocated the US economy in an effort to bail out bloated banks. Food and fuel prices have gone ballistic, crushing consumer spending. The private banking cartel even began buying up mortgages, a policy taken right from the script of the film.

In response, a grassroots movement has emerged to promote Silver Circle as a way to expose new audiences to the dangerous nature of the Federal Reserve system. The Silver Circle has been spreading the message with grassroots initiatives, promoting the upcoming New York premiere while holding the Fed to account.

The buzz is growing. More and more premiere events are being added in different markets as we press on towards the launch of the film. Mainstream news publications are taking notice.
