‘Silver Circle’ Opens Tonight in DC, Contest Winner Announced
April 12th, 2013Silver Circle is set in Washington DC. In fact, the US capital’s built-in corruption is a crucial component of the film’s setting. As such, it’s exciting to finally debut Silver Circle in the belly of the beast.
The event runs from April 12th through the 18th at the Regal Ballston Common 12, located at 671 N Glebe Road in Arlington, Virginia. Tonight’s opening night festivities will center around the 7 PM showing, which will feature a special Q&A with Silver Circle Director Pasha Roberts. Immediately after, an after party will take place at Bailey’s Pub and Grille at the other side of the mall. In other DC-related news, Silver Circle was just reviewed by the Washington Post. ‘The Real Plato’ Wins Free Ticket to Tonight’s Opening Night Showing!
Earlier in the week, we posted a contest for which fans submitted pictures of themselves standing next to key locations from the film in order to be placed in a raffle for a chance to win a free ticket to tonight’s showing. A sound money proponent operating under the username “The Real Plato” submitted the winning pic, which happened to be taken at the DC Federal Reserve building.
Silver Circle Runs All Week in Washington DC
To those who can’t make tonight’s opening night celebration, have no fear! Additional showings are running all week at the Regal Ballston Common 12 theater. Showings happen today at the following times: 2:20 PM, 4:40 PM, 7:00 PM, and 9:10 PM. Saturday’s showings will take place at 12:10 PM, 2:20 PM, 4:40 PM, 7:00 PM, and 9:10 PM. On Sunday, Silver Circle will run at 12:10 PM, 2:20 PM, 4:40 PM, and 7:00 PM. On Monday through the following Thursday, the film plays at 2:20 PM, 4:40 PM, and 7:00 PM.
Opening night festivities will coalesce around tonight’s 7:00 PM showing. After the film, fans will be treated to a question and answer session by Silver Circle Director Pasha Roberts. An opening night after party will take place at Bailey’s Pub and Grille, which is located at 4238 Wilson Boulevard in Arlington, VA — right across the mall from the theater. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has been invited to attend the opening night celebration, though we have yet to receive word as to whether or not he will be in attendance.
