Watch for the Amero Train in ‘Silver Circle’

August 15th, 2013

Silver Circle is packed with hidden Easter eggs and references that many viewers will find familiar and interesting. Each Thursday, we profile a different one right here on the Silver Underground blog. See if you can spot them as you watch the film online!

Keep your eyes peeled for today’s fast-moving Easter egg, which references the Bush-era push by globalists to create a North American regional government called the North American Union, similar to the now-failing European Union. You’ll notice that the name on the train line in Silver Circle is the Amero, which was the proposed name for the currency that would have been used by the North American monetary union if the idea had ever gained traction. Activists, particularly in Texas, pushed back hard against the establishment of a North American Union or free trade superhighway, and, ultimately, the globalists’ plan sputtered out on the launch pad.

NAFTA, the SPP, and the North American Union

Globalists in the Bush camp envisioned a future without nations, with regional governments assembled together in one powerful, centralized global union. This movement is widely referred to as the New World Order. Though some think of it as a secret conspiracy theory, it was openly advocated for by former President George HW Bush.

NAFTA was an attempt at a first step towards incorporating the US into a regional government, as it created a system of universal trade rules for North American nations. Also, the Security and Prosperity Partnership was established to further this transition through a variety of measures, most notably the establishment of an International Mid-Continent Trade Corridor. Activists in the liberty movement often referred to this as the NAFTA superhighway.

Don’t Mess with Texas

Ultimately, the move towards a North American Union was rejected as an attack on America’s national sovereignty. However, many activists began to worry that free trade agreements were being used to establish a regional government on the sly, despite significant political opposition. The North American SuperCorridor Coalition started lobbying for the Trans-Texas Corridor, a first step towards developing a regional superhighway connecting Canada, the US, and Mexico.

Unfortunately for the globalists, Texans take their national sovereignty seriously, and a broad coalition of concerned citizens came together and pushed back against the initiative, ultimately stopping the Trans-Texas Corridor before it could be constructed. After the NAFTA superhighway suffered political defeat, most globalists quit openly advocating for a North American Union.

In reference to this political battle over America’s national sovereignty, the train line in Silver Circle is named after the Amero (rather than the real-world trademark, Amtrak), the proposed currency that would have been used by a theoretic North American Union. As you watch the film and live vicariously through Zoe and the rebels and their quest to defeat Victor Brandt’s out-of-control Federal Reserve, keep your eyes peeled for this Easter egg.
