Rebel of the Week: The Southern Avenger
September 14th, 2011It takes a strong person to admit when he/she is wrong…it takes an even stronger and more rebellious person to tell the media that they are a group of wrong-doing, bias, no good, down right scoundrels, and actually be right. Jack Hunter has been a conservative journalist for years, mostly known for his radio rants and writings in South Carolina. He started off as a DJ in the 90′s but can now call himself a satellite radio-appearing, national magazine contributor, with a touch of work in much of the liberty movement. Just recently I was reminded that his journalism and contributions to the liberty movement can’t be looked past.
There was a GOP debate on Monday night. It was Tea Party focused, and despicable at best. Yes, this was the crowd that cheered to pull the plug on the uninsured comatose man while also boo’ing constitutional foreign policy. Tell me, where did this Tea Party go wrong, and/or what kind of Tea Partiers are they creating in Florida? That’s neither here nor there, so let’s get to the most outlandish part of this Republican ridiculousness.
During the debate the moderators were taking questions from the audience, one of which directed everyone’s attention, if only for just a moment, to the centralized banking system that is destroying the value of the dollar — also our bad guys in the film:
What is your position on the Federal Reserve? Should it indeed be audited and be held accountable by the American people?
Most well-versed liberty lovers would have assumed that this question was devised for Dr. Ron Paul the auther of a book entitled, End the Fed, and the author of legislation that wants to perform a complete audit of the Federal Reserve. Sadly, this question was not even offered to the congressman and instead was given to a former Federal Reserve official and the person who doesn’t
Jack Hunter, the Southern Avenger didn’t allow for the media to get away with this, and Hunter has once again shined a bright light on the lies and deceit pouring from the mainstream media sources. Following the question he bounced right onto his blog and offered up a piece of mind:
You know Ron Paul is winning when everyone is asked about the Federal Reserve—while trying to sound exactly like the Texas Congressman—except the one man responsible for bringing this issue to the table in the first place.
We aren’t here at Silver Underground to talk about who is going to win this election, however we do want to focus on the popularity of the Federal Reserve in such an important venue of discussion. We can thank the polarizing media for creating a line in the sand from truth and deception. The Southern Avenger’s work to uncover this can be rewarded with this week’s Rebel of the Week mention. Thank you Jack for voicing your opinion and keeping the media voices in check! The Federal Reserve is now on the table like never before, and one of the inspirations of the End the Fed movement is being ignored.
