A Gift for the Rebels of Weeks Gone By
March 1st, 2012Every Wednesday we have a new Rebel of the Week. Those stalwart freedom lovers who remain defiant in the face of state aggression, or steadfast in their pursuit of liberty. Although I cherish the opportunity to acknowledge their heroism it’s sad to see their accomplishments so quickly disappear down the memory hole of stale blog posts. So I thought I would create some graphics which they could use to showcase their honor on their own sites. I’ll be creating one each week from now on, but in the mean time here are graphics for my 10 favorite rebels so far, and I’ll make one for any of our previous rebels upon request.

October 20th, 2011 - US Marine Corps. Sgt. Shamar Thomas is a member of OccupyMarines which is an organization of retired Marines who attend Occupy Movement events to protect protesters from police. He made waves when a video of him chewing out the NYPD went viral on YouTube. Read More
October 26th, 2011 - Regardless of our political differences, we cannot help but honor these individuals for their tenacity, boldness, and courage in the face of police violence and brutality, withstanding the brutal blow of batons, sound grenades, tear gas, and even rubber bullets. Read More
November 9th, 2011 - For taking their oaths to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States so seriously that they have openly promised to disobey any orders that violate their oaths of fidelity to the Constitution, the Oath Keepers organization is full of true rebels! Read More
November 16th, 2011 - A sad day fell upon the liberty community as we lost a wonderful person whose dedication served his campus and community greatly. Bradford Peterson was a great friend to many in the liberty movement. He was attending Temple University and sat as the President of the Student Libertarian group on campus as well as a campus coordinator for Students for Liberty. Read More
December 7th, 2011 - an 85-year-old, Long Island grandmother was on her way to catch a flight when the TSA decided to make things hard for her. A true rebel, she requested to forgo the full body scanners which she worried could interfere with her defibrillator. That’s when the TSA whisked the 4-foot-11 grandmother away in her wheelchair to a private room and began removing her clothes. Read More

January 25th, 2012 - Bernard von NotHaus is the monetary architect of The Liberty Dollar which was a privately minted silver medallion that was at one time the most popular barter currency among precious metal enthusiasts. In 2007, after 10 years of legitimate business, the headquarters and mint of the Liberty Dollar was raided by the FBI. Read More
February 8th, 2012 - Darryl Perry is the owner and managing editor of Free Patriot Press, an independent alternative media / publishing company dedicated to “ensuring a FREE PRESS for the FREEDOM MOVEMENT” and giving new authors a freedom friendly venue to publish their work. Read More
February 22nd, 2012 - Adam Kokesh organized a public demonstration of veterans and active duty military to send a single simple message, that Ron Paul is the choice of the troops. The military responded my issuing a notice prohibiting active duty personnel from marching, and prohibiting retirees from wearing their uniform in the march saying such acts were punishable as, “Failure to Obey Orders or Regulation.” Adam Kokesh and many active duty and retired members balked and marched anyway.
