Rebel Inc at Music City Liberty Fest, New Album Coming Nov 20th
November 8th, 2012Forged initially in Detroit, Michigan but based now out of Baltimore, Maryland, Rebel Inc’s members are seasoned tour veterans, having carried their pulverizing blend of metal, funk, alt-rock, and hip hop all across the US. Fans of liberty will be pleased with their politically-charged lyrics, merging the traditions of bands like Anti-Flag and Rage Against the Machine with themes fit for supporters of the non-aggression principle.
I had the opportunity to catch up with the band in the green room at Music City Liberty Fest in Nashville, TN, before they hit the stage to play at Marathon Music Works. The band is touring in support of their upcoming album “Soundtrack to the Revolution,” which is set to release worldwide via the band’s website on November 20, 2012. Check out our backstage video interview with Kevin and Strong from Rebel Inc, found below.
Rebel Inc Collides with the Music City
After an introduction by Adam Kokesh, Rebel Inc, donning shirts from organizations like Cop Block and Oath Keepers, brought the sizable Nashville crowd to a fever pitch with their intense tunes. The typically-jaded Music City concert-goers put aside their self-consciousness and moshed with abandon as rebellious flags waved overhead.
For a heavy band to play alongside economists giving speeches and light rock acts can be a challenge to begin with, but Rebel Inc claimed the room as their own, bringing out one of the best crowd reactions of the night. The set even descended into crowd surfing at times. The right kind of chaos prevailed.
Rebel Inc’s New Album Is Coming Your Way
The band’s new record “Soundtrack to the Revolution” was available at Music City Liberty Fest and will begin selling worldwide on November 20th, 2012. Rebel Inc is featured in the soundtrack to the Silver Circle Movie.
For those who dig harder-edged music with a pro-liberty political tone, Rebel Inc’s new album is a must-have. Consider picking one up when it releases on November 20th.
