Don’t Blame Me – song lyrics by activist Buddy Guthrie
November 18th, 2010Don’t blame me… as you watch this nation fall,
Don’t blame me… I wanted to save you,
From a government… hell bent to enslave you,
these day’s im scared… to turn on the evening news,
they tell me if i breathe.. im gonna catch the swine flu,
and all this preaching.. how we need to save health care,
or how getting ny junk groped… was part of my airfare,
we’ve got our problems… dont get me wrong,
only they can save them… if you listen to their song,
to tell the truth… i’ve got more faith in me and you,
we’re the only ones.. that can pull us through,
if we give… more power to the government,
well when’s the last time.. they had a good dollar spent,
all the problems… they just exasterbate it,
their solutions… heaping piles of bullshit,
let’s get back… to basic common sense,
our kids’ futures… they’re already spent,
Clinton claimed… everyone needed homes,
told the banks.. to hand out all bad loans,
now we hit a point… where no one can pay them back,
the bubble burst… our dollar’s not worth jack.
so Bush decides… we have to bail them out,
handing out trillions… to those with political clout,
now the great Obama… has the answer,
we have to continue to feed.. this credit cancer,
well hey people… it’s time you woke up,
and realize this system… it’s too corrupt,
this isn’t a game… of left or right,
it’s not a game… when their taking naked pictures of me on my flight,
so good people… if you wanna stand with me,
if you love this nation… and love being free,
let’s take back… what’s yours and mine,
from these politically… connected bureaucratic swine,
and if you still… just want to sit back,
and hope someone else… will pick up the slack,
then……
Don’t blame me… as you watch this nation fall,
Don’t blame me… I wanted to save you,
From a government… hell bent to enslave you.
