The Story Behind the Miles Franklin Logo in ‘Silver Circle’
November 7th, 2013Thursday is Easter egg day on the Silver Circle blog, when we detail some of the hidden allusions and references that have been placed throughout the film. Silver Circle has some strong allies in the precious metals community. Today’s Easter egg is a tip of the hat to a titan among gold and silver coin companies, Miles Franklin.
Miles Franklin has been supportive of the film throughout the production process. The company sponsored our Boulder, Colorado screening, and its awesomely outspoken Marketing Director Andrew Hoffman has hosted an event and written guest blogs for us. In fact, Silver Circle Marketing Director Megan Duffield will be appearing alongside Hoffman in an upcoming podcast. As you watch the movie, keep an eye out for the Miles Franklin logo, which appears as graffiti on a wall in the background.
About Miles Franklin
Miles Franklin has been in the gold and silver coin business since its formation by David and Andrew Schectman in 1990. The company’s mission has always been to provide a bounteous supply of bullion and numismatic products at fair prices with guidance by expert brokers. Silver Circle fans in need of sound money should check them out.
The gold and silver investment community works hard to help families protect their wealth from the inflationary policies of central banks like the Federal Reserve. As dollars decline in value, precious metals rise in response. In this way, sound money protects the individual from the dangerous economic alchemy of the state.

About Andrew Hoffman
Miles Franklin’s Director of Marketing Andrew Hoffman is a regular fixture on the company’s highly popular blog. He offers economic analysis and insight in an uncompromising and direct manner and is unafraid to speak truth to power, especially when it comes to the out-of-control Federal Reserve. His philosophy, which is supportive of sound money, makes him a natural ally of the Silver Circle team.
Andrew Hoffman and Miles Franklin have gone to bat for us many times. The Miles Franklin logo was placed in the film in honor of the company’s support of our shared quest to spread the message of sound money. If you need an ally in the gold and silver space, be sure to visit their website.
Keep an eye out for this reference as you are watching the movie. It appears amid graffiti on a wall in the background. Also, Andrew Hoffman and our own Marketing Director Megan Duffield will be appearing together on an upcoming podcast, so check back here for more information on that forthcoming discussion.
