A Few Memorable Tweets From Last Night’s State of the Union

As we all know Twitter is some form of meta-communication during moments of significance.  Last night was no different as Twitter feeds blew up during President Obama’s State of the Union Address.  They are STILL rolling in, however here are some notable moments from last night’s speech.

Vinny Guadagnino – “Jersey Shore – angel”

I think at the #sotu, if the president just got up there and said “We’re [expletive]” he’d get more votes. Hey at least he’d be telling the truth.

Michelle Bachmann was apparently not looking in the right camera last night, because Keith Olbermann’s Twitter feed was loaded with stage directions like this:
MICHELE! Hey! Yoo-hoo! CONGRESSWOMAN! We’re the ones in the MIDDLE #sotu #InsaneClownResponse
President Obama made a funny about salmon, according to Twitter that seems to be all the world heard.  User @whoiswillo tweeted:
The central message of the State of the Union was Win the Future. The immediate message the American people got? Salmon.
Another hilarious trend that was discovered throughout the evening was the overwhelming use of #STOU instead of #SOTU…now that I think about it I may have also joined in on this dyslexic error. Example from user @amarcott:
