Circumventing the beast: Black Market Friday Nov. 29th!
November 18th, 2013Chances are if everyone is taking part in some sort of ritual, our blog is telling you how to circumvent that ritual or avoid it. Sometimes our advice heeds trouble with the law…but almost always it promotes personal freedom. That’s why this year we are promoting an awesome way to spend your holidays shopping season: buying gifts with alternative currency!
This year the online community (and some in-person stores) have blossomed with opportunities to use virtual currencies like Bitcoin and Litecoin. Haven’t heard of either? Check out this video.
Silver Circle is now promoting the opportunity on Black Market Friday to order our merchandise with Bitcoin OR Silver. This all comes after a huge spike in the crypto-currency world…as of right now Bitcoin is approaching $600 on the market (Litecoin just passed $7).
Why is this important? Most of our readers aren’t fond of holiday traditions that promote consumerism which in the end feeds “the beast”. By promoting and using Bitcoin and precious metals you are transcending “the beast” by making direct purchases. No middle person, no credit card companies owned by subsidized billionaires, no major fees through Paypal that can hurt the business owner, it promotes small business and best of all it can be as private as you want and requires no participation with the US government-issued FRN. Just one step closer to our overall goal of financial freedom. Why not try it on for size for the day?
Tons of liberty organizations are participating this year in Black Market Friday – a term coined by radio host Ernie Hancock of Freedom’s Phoenix. Bitpay.com has even made it easier to get in on the fun by working with Amazon business owners to implement Bitpay at the check out for their products. Aside from our awesome BluRays and Holiday Packages that will be for sale for alternative currencies, you can also check out some other shopping options within the liberty movement:
- Shire Silver
- Amagi Metals
- Suns of Liberty Mint mMint
- Bitcoins not Bombs
- Buy your loved ones tickets to Liberty Forum in NH!
- Vapor Station
You can also check out services like “SnapCard” which will set up a Bitcoin cashier for you on ANY site (still in Beta). Here’s an extensive list of other places accepting Bitcoin.
As you can see there is no shortage of ways to avoid the US Dollar this holiday season. The idea of “peace on earth” is closer than ever before with options to use precious metals and virtual currencies to shop for loved ones. Happy Holidays everyone!
